I'm entirely the wrong guy to ask. I believe semi's are one of the best shorts of all time and are due for a massive eye-watering pullback next year. I am very very short $SMH and was a few days before Michael Burry. So anyone long semi's is up against us. Maybe we're wrong. Who knows. All I know is the charts are in our favor.
Semiconductors have ran much too far, much too fast and are going to run headlong into a major multi-year depression. The time to buy these will be once they've plumbed their depths. Look at the charts and look back at the price from dotcom to the bottom and from 2007 to the 2009 bottom. People are buying the high here. I am telling you, people are buying the absolute high here.
Speaking of charts, here's the monthly. In the second one I've highlighted a massive rising wedge in play that's very bearish. I am completely convinced we will retest the pre-Covid high and possibly the lows and maybe a bit below
.
